ITE “hookstrip type” screens are designed to be installed on ITE industrial double deck shakers on the upper so called scalping deck for the purpose of separating coarse solid particles from suspensions. Thus, they constitute the preliminary stage of fine screen separation within the overall processing cycle.

A variety of different hookstrip screens guarantees enhanced adaptability to changing soil conditions. Utilising state-of-the-art materials and a wide range of different mesh sizes allows for an optimum coverage of multiple applications in the construction business.

The ITE vibration shakers set the hookstrip screen into motion, separating the solid particles contained in the suspension into fractions while dewatering the disperse solid mixture.

In the process, the size of the near-mesh particles and/or fineness of separation results from the respective mesh width of the screens which may range from 4 Mesh (4800 µm/4.8 mm) up to 30 Mesh                       (600 µm/0.6 mm).

Properties

• ITE hookstrip screens are manufactured as integrated, ready-to-use products with tensioning joints and/or reinforced frames to fit the respective ITE shaker
• Various materials such as steel, stainless steel and polyurethane and various mesh sizes allow optimum adjustment of the hookstrip screens to the properties of the respective suspension (e.g. grain fraction, density, viscosity etc.)
• The tensioning-bolts attachment system provides a fast and uncomplicated exchange of the hookstrip screens
• Due to state-of-the-art materials hookstrip screens are extremely rugged and wear-resistant with a long life-time if applied properly
